New Pots

I’ve been really busy with preparations ¬†for my Christmas Open Studio. Details in the next few days… I had enough time though to enjoy a lovely present ( filled with delicious Lebkuchen: it’s that time of year again!) and buy some new mugs which sit comfortably in my already overfilled cupboard.

I spent a few days in Cambridge and London with my dear friend Beatrice. She was giving a talk at Cambridge School of Art on her career as a children’s book illustrator. It was both inspiring and exciting and full of anecdotes with images from the past, the present and the future.

We spent some hectic but lovely days in London meeting friends and taking it all in. London is a pot full of ingredients of many colours. Certainly it would take more time to savour them all.

Portrait of a lady

A small portrait of a lady sketched and painted quickly and done after watching a ” Wild China” documentary. Very inspiring the way people have created those terraced rice fields and even more inspiring how elegant they look with those beautiful big straw hats when gathering rice.
