I was born in Italy and moved to England some time ago.
I like to describe my work as a new venture in folk art with its warm toned down colours, the simplicity of shapes
and spontaneous expression with whatever material is available.
I've been a folk singer for a long time and touring with my band has given me the opportunity to come into contact with different cultures.
But it was after I finished a textile course in Italy that my interests in folk art, stories and applied arts came together.
In all my work there is an element of humour, timeless scenes of everyday life filtered through imagination and even
reflections of mythical lands, stories and beasts.
I like to play with everyday images of old and new memories, like patterns of life in old story quilts.
