M  y pictures are individual pieces; no one is the same as any other.
Sometimes I feel the need to explore more deeply a particular subject and I return to it after a while eventually producing a small series of related works.
All pictures on this site are for sale and a list of prices is available.

I n my appliqué and patchwork I use vintage as well as new fabrics, chosen for their organic qualities which I sometimes enhance by ageing the finished work.
To complement my work I use a variety of simple hand stitches, vintage buttons and different objects that I collect.

I n my batik I use wax as a resist before painting on either fabric or paper.
I don't use the traditional method of multiple dipping. In this way I'm free to use a greater variety of colours.
Often I finish my batik on fabric by stitching along the wax line as it creates a more interesting texture.

S ometimes the simplicity of paper cut-outs draws me to paper collage.
Paper offers me a great variety of printed patterns and colours but whenever I can't find them on ready made paper I dye or paint them myself.

I  feel restrained by a rigid use of different expressive techniques and sometimes I use a mixture of appliqué, batik painting, felt or paper cut-outs on the same project.
